 Muslims from Wednesday celebrate RAMADAN.
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, and the month in which the Qur'an was revealed. Ramadan is the holiest of months in the Islamic calendar. Fasting in the month of Ramadan is one of the five pillars of Islam. The month is spent by Muslims fasting during the daylight hours from dawn to sunset. The name came from the time before the Islamic calendar, when the month of Ramadan fell in the summer. Fasting during this month is often thought figuratively to burn away all sins. Muslims believe that the Qur'an was sent down to the lowest heaven during this month thus being prepared for gradual revelation by angel Gibril (Gabriel) to the Prophet Muhammad. Furthermore, the Prophet Muhammad told his followers that the gates of Heaven would be open all the month and the gates of Hell would be closed. The first day of the next month is spent in celebrations and is observed as the ‘Festival of Breaking Fast’ or `Eid ul-Fitr. According to tradition, during Ramadan, believers must abstain from food, drink, sexual activity, gossip, bad deeds, addictions and idle chatter. The fast, or sawm, is done from sunrise to sunset, and the evening meal feels like a holiday feast, since families and friends get together for dinner every night, and it does not matter what food they eat. Typically, his family breaks the fast with something sweet like dates.

Center currently provides skills seminars to assist students with test preparation, free group advising sessions for both graduate and undergraduate students, as well as other seminars to assist students in the university admissions process. Interested parties will be able to ask questions and show specific problems with the process of search and preparation.Everyone are welcome.

 International Roma Day - 8th April 2008
AW Bujanovac today has a program with Roma students for ROMA DAY. Present are students from Bujanovac municipality and AW volunteers from Roma population.
International Roma Day is a celebration of Roma history and traditions. The Day also draws attention to discrimination directed to Roma and Gypsy communities globally and to call for human rights of all to be respected and observed.
