WELCOME TO AMERICAN CORNER VRANJE
American Corner Vranje is a cultural, educational and information center, an American-style library opened as a result of the cooperation between the town of Vranje and the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade. The Vranje Public Library “Bora Stankovic” was incorporated as the executive partner in this project.
The Corner offers books, magazines, daily newspapers, CD-ROMs, DVDs, videos, Internet access, programs, and professional bilingual librarians trained to help you find desired information about the U.S.
The membership is FREE of charge.
If you want to become a member, you just need to bring an ID and a small-size photo for the membership card.
Once you become a member you can:
*read newspapers, magazines and books in the reading room
*check out books, magazines, audio books, and Kindle (e-Reader)
*use the Internet, our collection of CD-ROMs, videos and DVDs
*watch our feature film and do*****entary projections
*attend lectures by distinguished American Fulbright scholars, fellows, Embassy staff and many other prominent Americans
*participate in the workshops that we organize
*find the most up-to-date information on studying in the U.S., as well as books for *preparing TOEFL, SAT, LSAT, GRE and GMAT exams
*use the materials for English teaching (this can be very useful for English teachers)
*enjoy our paper shows, holiday celebrations, see the exhibits we organize
*attend book presentations
*attend English classes
*join our Book club
