Jennifer Lawson worked as a professional modern dancer, choreographer and instructor. She is a co-founder of Weave Dance Company in Houston , and has worked with other dance troupes in Texas , Massachusetts , and in San Jose , Costa Rica . Since 1995 Jennifer has also coordinated programs to stop violence against women.
Georgia Duerst-Lahti is a professor of Political Science and a faculty member of the Women’s and Gender Studies Program at Beloit College . She received her MA and Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin , Madison , in Political Science. Her research interests center on the gendering of political institutions and on gender in campaigns.
